Acceptance of Terms
By using Varsity Slate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
Service Description
Varsity Slate aggregates college sports schedules, scores, and related information from public sources. It is available with both free and paid plans, and may change as data coverage, features, or plans evolve. The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Data Accuracy
We work to keep schedules and scores current, but we cannot guarantee that every time, venue, score, or event detail is complete, correct, or up-to-date. Always verify important game times and details through official sources.
No Affiliation
Varsity Slate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the NCAA or any college or university. School names, team names, marks, and related data belong to their respective owners.
Accounts and Plans
Some features require an account or a paid plan. Free accounts may follow 1 school with 1 sport; Teammate covers up to 5 schools and Head Coach is unlimited, both with all sports. Plan limits, availability, and pricing may change. Paid subscriptions are handled through Stripe and subject to the terms shown at checkout.
Referral Program
Paid subscribers receive a personal referral link. When a referred friend starts a paid subscription, the referrer earns subscription time (free months, and at qualification milestones a comped year or plan upgrade), applied automatically to their own subscription. Rewards are subscription time only — they have no cash value and cannot be transferred or withdrawn. Referrals qualify after payments settle (monthly plans at the second payment); refunded or disputed payments disqualify the referral and may void unapplied rewards. We may withhold rewards from self-referrals or fraudulent activity, and may modify or end the program prospectively at any time. Comped time ends on its stated date; regular billing resumes on the plan you last paid for unless you choose otherwise.
Content You Post
Some features let you create content — for example, tailgates you host and the names, notes, and lists you attach to them. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you grant Varsity Slate a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and share that content as needed to operate the service, including showing it to anyone you send an invite link to.
You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content, or disable an invite link, at our discretion — including content reported to us and content we believe breaks these terms.
Acceptable Use
Do not use Varsity Slate to:
- post unlawful, deceptive, threatening, or harassing content;
- impersonate another person or organisation;
- commercially resell tickets or parking passes. Varsity Slate is not a ticket marketplace: you may tell people you have spare tickets or a parking pass, but the service has no pricing, no payment, and no resale mechanism, and must not be used to run one;
- collect other users' personal information, or share an invite link in order to harvest the names of people who respond;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or invite links that are not yours, including by guessing invite codes.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Varsity Slate with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Events Organised by Users
Tailgates and similar gatherings are organised by users, not by Varsity Slate. Varsity Slate is not the organiser, does not verify events or the people hosting them, and is not responsible for what happens at them. We do not check whether an event is real, whether a host is who they say they are, or whether any tickets or parking passes mentioned exist.
Use the same judgement you would for any invitation from someone you do not know. Never send money to a host through any channel — Varsity Slate will never ask you to, and no legitimate use of this service requires it.
Host Responsibilities
If you host an event, you are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and with the rules of the venue, campus, or parking area you are using — including alcohol laws, permit and lot policies, capacity limits, and clean-up requirements. Venue and campus policies vary by school and by game, and it is your responsibility to know them.
You are also responsible for the people you invite and for the accuracy of what you tell them.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varsity Slate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service or reliance on schedule and score data. The service may also be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use of the application after updates means you accept the revised terms.
